Roger E. Ford, 56, of Roodhouse, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born November 27, 1948 in Beardstown, the son of Eldon E. and Betty L. Davis Ford. He is survived by one daughter, Rusti (husband, Kevin) Mathews of White Hall; one son, Randy Ford of Roodhouse; one step-daughter, Tonya Willeford of Roodhouse; two step-sons, Andy (wife, Brandie) Davis and Eric Davis, both of Roodhouse; eight grandchildren, his mother, Betty L. Ford of Jacksonville; and two brothers, David (wife, Margaret) Ford and John Ford, both of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Ford served in the United States Army, First Cavalry Division, during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Jacksonville Correctional Center and later retired from the Greene County Boot Camp. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W., and enjoyed golfing, fishing, and attending his grandchildren’s events. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2005, at Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 12 Noon until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choice.
